Gravity is a 13 minute dramatic thriller.

Maya, a talented researcher and mechanical engineer, discovers a method for transforming and transporting extra heavy oil from tar sands in the interior of South America. Angry at her ancestral history and the impending death of her only relative, Granny Ling, Maya strives to mend an understanding of her cultural past.  A ghost trapped falling in a waterfall in Guyana haunts Maya and forces her to see visions of her enslaved ancestors. Maya must decide whether she will face the ghosts of her past or plough through the earth and waterways that seem to house them. A short film that defies gravity, suspending the stories of women across time, bloodlines, water and worlds.
